Roy injured...X-Rays Negative, Just a Sprain

This is why Roy will never be a dominant receiver, because he didn't put time in the weight room throughout college and in his early NFL career. He's soft and injury prone because of it.

We're hitting with no pads on? I didn't think we hit that much in practice when we had pds ON, let alone off.

Please, let this be very minor!

Don't forget "annoyingly outspoken."

Roy vs . Scandrick

Orlando Scandrick laid a lick on Roy Williams a moment ago (no shoulder pads tonight, folks) and Roy was apparently hurt (left shoulder).
This put a damper on the evening, which was supposed to be a light practice just two days before the third preseason game.

Williams just went into the locker room, but not before he and Scandrick exchanged words. Scandrick told Roy, "I tried to not hit you."

Wade talks on Roy, Scandrick

Coach Wade Phillips said he didn't know what Roy Williams' condition was after he and Orlando Scandrick "bumped" (that was Wade's word for it) late in Thursday's practice here at Cowboys Stadium. Here's some of what he said:

"I don’t know anything about Roy. He banged his shoulder a little bit, and they’re checking on him," said Phillips. "I imagine they’re going to X-ray it and we’ll see."

When asked if he'd be concerned if he lost Williams for an extended period, Phillips said, "We don’t know anything about Roy, so don’t speculate."

And while we're at it, some player reaction:

Bradie James: "It’s football, and sometimes you run into each other. Hopefully that’s all it is. We’ll see what the prognosis is later."

Keith Brooking: "Well, I mean that’s just the nature of this business. Things like that happen, and it probably happens a lot more than you guys realize among teammates, but the things that we say all the time, Wade emphasizes it and all the leaders emphasize it, that you don’t ever take it off the field. Things happen. Testosterone starts flowing and especially the dog days of camp. It’s been a long time. We’re ready to play somebody for real. You kind of get frustrated at times with your teammates, but when that happens, you leave it on the field and that’s it. You never take it in the locker room; you never take if off this field right here between the lines. That’s something we do a very good job at."

Looked like he was joking. Like shooting the messager

DMN suggests we won't hear anything until tomorrow. That sucks.....this a potential season changing injury.

Yeah that's why he's injury prone.

So they were practicing in shells and Orlando is going after Roy? Damn, maybe he's being paid a little side jack by the Eagles or something.

Awww that brings back memories when I was a lil girl.

I hope Roy's ok.

I know that Scandrick should've just calmed down, but I love that he's not afraid to lay the wood on anyone.
