FWIW, our old buddy Roy had 6 tackles yesterday. And he was the guy putting the hit on Marshall when the ball was tipped to Stokely for the game winning TD w/11 seconds left. At least he wasn't burned on the play pointing at the CB..

He also wiffed on a blitz when he had a clear shot at the QB.

I saw Scandrick whiff on a tackle yesterday when he had a sure shot at the RB. Dude didn't even touch him.

This is hindsight speaking, but I'm surprised the Bengals didn't have someone standing on the five yard line just in case something bizarre or miraculous happened.

Actually, I think Roy hit marshall after he tipped the ball. Basically, he went for the hit instead of the ball on the tip. I could be wrong but I think that's what I saw this morning on ESPN.

I just spoke to a friend of mine who's a Bengals fan and he was quite pleased with Williams yesterday and thought the D played well as a whole.

His exact word where "I hope they fire Lewis and make Zimmer the HC" never thought i'd hear that ever, guess they have lower standards there :laugh2:

No kiddin. Never thought of that but its a very good point.

Bet you they will next time.

I actually kind of felt sorry for them a little bit. Trailed all day and finally put something together and just got it ripped right away.

Of course, the Broncos only needed 3 to win, so that guy playing deep only would have stopped a TD.

Yeah they broke the play down on countdown and he could have made the play on the ball but went for the hit after the ball was tipped in the air.

I heard that too, and thought it was bull****. He committed to the intended receiver and went in for the hit. That's what he should have done. The tip was a fluke and the only way RW could have been in position to contain it would have been if he'd been out of position in the first place.

Isn't that funny? I don't get comments like that at all.

I think RW was a pretty good dude. He might not have been doing everything he was drafted to do, but as a person, I got no qualms.

Yeah he was pretty good alright... pretty good at shifting the blame to his teammates and crying whenever a reporter had the audacity to question his coverage skills. Maybe a better man would own up to his failings instead of blaming his teammates; not Roy.

Don't forget his coaches. His coaches deserve blame for pointing fingers at the other players, too. They're also bad men who don't own their feelings.

I hope Roy has a great year just so I can smile about how butt hurt it will make the anti-Roy people.

I did not see this game but by the looks of the score I would think Cinn defense put them in a postion to win while their offense could only muster up 7 points aginst a Denver defense not noted for their great play. For all the talking Ochocinco does that is one poor offense
