Roy Williams: I'll only play for Dallas

Let's see ....... the choice is to play for my new team and make $3 million a year or retire ......... hmmmmmm - what to do .......?

Take a page from Mr. Jerome Bettis when he talks about the present quality of life... Some players are content, some aren't.

I was merely going along with the topic of this thread, which was based on him having the choice.

Whether or not the choice ever has to be made is another issue.

The topic of the thread is whether or not he said it. not him having the choice

roy was born to be a boy baby and he going to stay one baby I love him!!

I guess that is technically true - but even with that your comment is still off topic. At least mine addressed whether or not he was likely to have said those words, whereas yours had nothing at all to do with the words he was supposed to have spoken.

that sounds wrong on so many levels.

Not only does it sound wrong, it sounds like the words of a sick (and mentally challenged) person.

RW campaigned big time to get drafted by Dallas.

JJ said he was moved by it and it made the decision easy for him to go safety so early.

That's a nice history lesson, but it doesn't really tell us anything about what Williams would do if traded.

Have a heart attack, stab his wife, and jump off a cliff. with the words " I loved you Jerry Jones" written on his back.

jerry will get rid of anybody if he feels like it. we did get rid of the all time leading rusher after all.

That was more emmitt than it was Jerry

you simply cannot keep players whose productivity no longer matches their contracts. It was time for us to move on at RB -- and it would have been nice had Emmitt would have retired -- but he was hearing footsteps and wanted to extend his rushing record.

this could be said about roy one way. which further backs up my point that jerry will get rid of anybody if he feels like it

Actually, Jerry is pretty bad with that stuff - he tends to keep guys too long. Emmitt was clearly several years past his prime - a smarter GM would have likely looked to replace him back in 2000.

Parcells is the only reason guys like Allen and Glover got gone with a little tread left on their tires.

if he plays like he played last yr, ill bet u he would be playing for another team
