I realize we get bashed in the media more than other teams for two reasons, 1) We are the Cowboys and either you love us or hate us, 2) Jerry Jones, period. He's done some questionable moves over the years that leads to folks doubting us. But the one I thing I don't get is the way the media bashes Roy for last year.

Roy played 10 games with us but only 7 with Romo, so maybe he practiced with Romo for 8 weeks after Romo got the splint off. Prior to the draft when TO didn't show for Buffalo's involuntary workouts he got dogged because he should have been there to get familiar with his QB. Media kept saying you need as much time together as possible. I just wonder why Roy doesn't get the benefit of a doubt for only being with Romo for 8 weeks during the season and not having a off season together.

Not to mention the fact that Roy was at best Romo's 3rd option, sometimes maybe 4th or 5th after TO, Witten, Crayten, Barber. Give him a chance to be the number 1 before we jump all over him.

No doubt he has a lot of work ahead of him to silence his critics. I'm just glad to see that he is putting in the off season work with Romo according to a recent report I heard. I was a fan of RW coming out of college and I think he has the physical ability to be a top WR in the league.

Want a super reality check? Go to NFL.com and pull up the game where Roy had the 91-yard TD against the Eagles (2007 season). Pay attention to Deion "ride his jock" while praising "the big fella". Yet, because he has essentially replaced his boy, he isn't good anymore. Check it out and listen.

Jason Garrett must have some really good ties in the media, considering he is the root cause of the offensive incompetency.

Not to mention he was injured...plantar fasciitis is no joke.

Owens broken hand in 2006, no excuse for his drops.

Roy Williams' foot injury in 08, one of the many many excuses for his dismal performance last year.

And that clip of him catching that 91 yard pass is from a game when they got throttled 56-21. Its easy to have a have decent highlight video and inflated stats when you're always playing from behind, forcing the ball vertically down the field in a wide-open offense.

I just don't know why he gets a pass and guys are tirelessly defending him. Whatever, spin away.
