Home teams also will be required to show replays on the video boards after all scoring plays, turnovers, challenged plays, first downs and receptions where the receiver ends up out of bounds. Multiple replays of any play automatically reviewed must be shown “with the very best camera angles available.”

It's about time. I have been soo frustrated because Dallas has been instantly showing replays even when they show something the opposing team can challenge but when they go on the road, nothing is shown in stadium on close plays that Dallas could challenge. I have always thought they needed a rule that either forced teams to show replays equally or shown none until the next play. There is no reason for the home team to have such a huge advantage of the scoreboard operators deciding only to show replays when they will benefit the home team.

We do it anyway, so there isn't any change...

Agreed - insane road disadvantage, especially when you have a coach that likes to take his time reviewing calls. :)

It will be the exact opposite. We have been doing it for the opposing team for years now while other teams are not. Now, we will get to see the replays on the road in time to challenge. Dallas has been burned numerous times both at home and on the road. There was a home game last year where I was screaming at the TV, "stop showing the damn replay" but they kept showing it in the stadium and there was the other head coach staring up at the board and finally challenged the play and won. I can also recall several times over the past year where they were on the road and replays on TV clearly showed the refs made a bad call but no replay was shown in stadium and Garrett never chanllenged.

This is all well and good, but there is no wording as to how soon after the play the replay will be shown. Quick snap count will negate this rule....

I can not believe that the NFL is moving down this path where the stadium video screens are officially becoming part of the game. What's next? Is the NFL now going to dictate the size and location of the screens?

They are talking about in stadium replays. The ones where the coach can look up at and decide to challenge or not. Some teams have instructed their scoreboard operators to not show replays that will help the other team. The league has now told teams to stop that policy.

A coach can't challenge a scoring play as it is already set to be reviewed...

I think it's a good rule. These giant video boards are there, so why not use them to assist the game, making decisions to challenge easier on the coaches and giving the fans as clear a view of what happened as possible.

Hopefully they will get rid of the 15 yd penalty for trying to challenge by mistake.

I'm all for this.

People at the games should be afforded the same advantages as those watching on TV - in fact, it should be more - and it is frustrating sitting there wondering at times what is going on during a replay. I call my friends sometimes to find out what's going on.

There should also be a board with all the NFL scores in real time. It's frustrating trying to get a signal on my phone to check the internet.

They did, they voted on that already.

For instance I think it applies to the "guy was ruled out" in the end zone and the coach doesn't know if he should challenge it or not giving them a TD if they were to win it. I'm no expert but this was how I read into it.
