RUMOR: Charles Woodson interested in playing FS for Cowboys?

For whatever its worth, ESPN's Clayton also mentioned that Charles Woodson was apt to playing the FS position. If memory serves me, didn't Jerry have an infatuation with him and had a strong interest in signing him a few years back.

Woodson was probably my favorite all time college player, okay second to Barry Sanders, but anyway the guy is an amazing talent.
I think the salary that he and Law will want just to play fs will be ridiculous. If Woodson agrees to get paid like a fs, then I'd probably want him.
I think Law would be more of a possibility though.

Someone on the Cowboys board at ESPN is saying that 610AM in Houston reported that Charles Woodson wants to play FS for the Cowboys. Said something to the effect of Woodson feels he can stay healthier covering smaller areas instead of running down field with #1 WRs. Did anyone else hear this?

My cousin's professor has a garbage man who listens to a college radio station in Alaska and the DJ there said that his pizza deliveryman once delivered to Gil Brandt who said that this rumor might be true or might not...

I'm not a big fan of converting players. It worked with Rod Woodson but he was basically a safety when he started as corner due to his reputation for being a hard tackling cornerback which Charles Woodson was not known for.
