Rumor: Cowboys to work out underrated pass rusher

...During his senior season with the Bulldogs, Brown recorded 39 total tackles, seven tackles for a loss, five defended passes and 3.5 sacks. He also led the team in quarterback hurries with 10. Brown was named team captain (a trait we know the Cowboys covet) and to the SEC Academic Honor Roll last year.
In October, the 6-5, 266 pound pass rusher was named Southeastern Conference Defensive Lineman of the Week after he recorded seven tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss and a sack in a victory over Troy.
Brown played the final five games of last season with a stress fracture in his right foot. After the Egg Bowl, the senior had surgery to fix the injury. But the procedure forced Brown to miss the East-West Shrine game in January and limited him at Mississippi State’s recent pro day. The underrated prospect has scheduled a more extensive workout session in mid-April for NFL scouts, right before the draft.
CBS Sports currently ranks Brown as the 43rd best player at his position in this draft class. He is expected to go undrafted and become, what appears to be, a very in demand free agent.
