So what would Owens' agent discuss with these other teams if they can't talk about contracts? The trade compensation? The number on the jersey he'd get?

I suppose they'd inquire whether or not the team is interested in trading for him. If they are, contact the Eagles front office.

But I can see how talking about contracts would be beneficial. I just don't know the rule.
