well i dont spend my entire day on here, so i wouldnt know. before i posted this i looked and didnt fnd it anywhere so i posted it. and i think im aware its a rumor, which is why i typed RUMOR in capital letters so u would know it was a rumor. but its still cowboys news, rumor or not. is what this forum and every other cowboys forum created for? to keep everybody informed?

it was verified by plenty of posters over at theranchreport.com who saw the breif segment on this topic on the NFLN, and said so. as it was said on tv rather then the net, i think that explains why theres no link. there is more then one source of medium that reports news.

and the fact that nfl.com doesnt update its news right away. delet it, whatever u want i could care less, but to get all bent about it is just silly.

Heard it also I thought on the NFLN this morning but couldn't believe it. Sounded very different.

D. Hall , with the third pick overall, and I thought Adam said one of Atlanta's two second round picks for both of our first and Barber.

Have to figure that it resolves the RB and CB situation since Deangelo Hall would be a great addition, then McFadden at the 3rd pick.

First I thought it wasn't enough until you throw the fact the Barber would cost them if he signed with them the 3rd overall and #67.

It is well know that Atlanta wanted to get rid of Hall because he is to vocal.

Just hate to lose Barber.

It doesn't solve the RB problem entirely. We'd have McFadden, potentially. And Thompson.

And its not a guarantee we'd get McFadden either. A team could jump up over us and take him.

Then we'd be screwed. And it would defeat the whole purpose of it.

true, i'd thnk if the 3rd pick was inloved dallas would be better served in draft a OL like jake long. and signing a rb in FA. isnt dallas a pass first team now anyways? i'd think dallas first priority would be to provide protection for romo

For the record, no link could be found anywhere to Schefter actually reporting this. Take this with a grain of salt.

I was watching nfl network this afternoon and Shefter was talking about Hall definitely leaving Atlanta and said the giants, kc, cincy as probable destinations....never even mentioned Dallas.

in another piece he Said Dallas would not move Barber in any scenario and then added he expectst them to trade for a wr and then be very active in free agency from what he knows.

Nothing about hall or picks.

The trade could be for Roy Williams from Detroit.

I still believe...I've been saying it since September.

I have reason to doubt very highly that Jerry is as jazzed about McFadden as the reporters want everybody to think. I think he prefers the other Razorback RB personally. It's all about cost.

that 30 mil s a big price to pay.

i wonder who and what it would take to get roy. u'd have t assume it would take more then just 1 2nd round pick, a bottom of the round pick at that.

They could offer the 2nd and a vet LB like Ayodele. They could bump it to #28. Or they could pass and roll the dice on a Draft pick. I still think he's coming to Dallas. I've been wrong before, so take it for what it is worth.

I really like Mendenhall from Illinois... I wouldn't be upset at all if he was the main running back/workhorse back. He's definitely a 3 down guy which is huge in the NFL.

I would love to see us acquire Roy Williams.

I do believe the number 88 is open.....He'd sure look good in it.

IF this rumor has legs i am sure it is a conditional deal and won't go down until draft day.... in other words, if mcfadden isn't available at pick #3 then the trade would be off.

Schefter talked about Dallas earlier on NFL Total Access and said there was no way we could get high enough in the draft to take McFadden. If you want an exact quote, he said "they do not have enough ammo." So basically, unless he has changed his tune, it is BS.

He also mentioned that we will very likely look into trading one of our firsts for a young but proven WR. He also said if we did not, we would likely look at Felix Jones with one of our picks.

Also, the guy who posted this rumor at 4am this morning said he heard it on NFL Total Access. I stayed up to watch it at 5am, since NFLN runs the same episode all night and Schefter never mentioned a trade with Atlanta at all.

Basically, this rumor is BS.

I vote for the revision of any forum guideline that uses the words "credible news source" and "ESPN" in the same sentence.

If they said "Big Names" and not "Big Talent" perhaps we can find a way to package Roy Williams up in this deal. Don't shoot the hater. I love Roy, but come on, I'd much rather have a playmaker than a hitlayer.

What happened to Mike Hart? There was alot of talk about him early in the season. Is it his size or his injury? I haven't even seen a projection on him.
