Mort just told Tirico and Tafoya that it'll probably be a done deal very soon... "Before you guys get off the air."

Are you claiming you were not here almost everyday during the seasons when your team was on top of the NFC east?.

Quick reminder ...here are the dates you gave:11-05-2007 & 01-27-2008; we were hardly on top. Splitting with an opponent team doesn't come close to being "on top!"

You officially joined 5 months before me ...... Wow .... thats a long time .

Another perspective would be ...you joined one NFL Regular Season after me. In football time ...that's could be construed as a "life-time!"

MOSS DEAL DONE?
Posted by Mike Florio on March 3, 2008, 12:32 p.m.

We’re picking up preliminary, uncorroborated rumors that receiver Randy Moss has agreed to terms with the Patriots.

Again, this is preliminary. And uncorroborated.

But it’s what we’re hearing from one of our sources. Stay tuned.

Perhaps the news of Ben Roethlisberger’s jaw-dropping deal prompted the Pats to sweeten the pot with Moss having to track down a better offer elsewhere.

Talon is back. I guess it has everything to do with the Samuel signing. I swear, Philly fans (when good things happen for the Eagles) is like cockroches when the lights go out! The all comeout and scatter when (bad things) lights come on.

The Latest on the Moss Free Agency Talks between the Patriots and Randy Moss heated up Monday as both sides are working toward getting a deal done Monday, according to sources. On Friday, Moss started to listen to offers from other teams. On Saturday, he explored possibilities with other franchises and even discussed the possibility of reuniting with his former Vikings teammate, Daunte Culpepper, on another team. While all this was gong on, Moss stayed in touch with the Patriots with hopes of reaching a deal. Friends of Moss believe a deal with the Patriots is imminent but neither the Patriots nor his agent, Tim DiPiero, are commenting.

Prhaps ...but if it did, it would propel the Cowboy's past the Giants as the dominant NFC-East team to beat! No?

Personally, no...I think more in terms of a Gestalt kinda philosophy...I don't think you can just amass a lot of pieces and think it'll mesh into something formidable...Case in point would've been the Superbowl, really...On paper, Giants had no business in that SB but they earned that win with an injury laden squad.

I just think a Moss/TO combo sounds good only on paper...I think, perhaps overcautiously, that it poses a lot of potentially damaging dangers...I can't recall a team that had two 'Me' kinda receivers before and it just would seem to disrupt a balance that has begun to work so well in Dallas...Why mess with that formula?

I've I've learned to restrain some of my thoughts about a certain number of posters here. But let me set you straight ...I'm here because I respect and admire Reality, a number of Moderators, and certain classy posters who just happen to be Cowboy fan.

Not because the wind changes direction or my team does good or bad. Simply because you don't remember how much crow and humble pie I've eaten through the past 4-years, that's your problem!

Inshort, I've learned a lot here at the Zone, Zone, Zone, Zone ...some good and some not so good. But don't try to just dump your biased crap on me just because I happen to be dedicated to another team.

That's unacceptable!

rofl. Are you serious? Welker is effective because of Moss. Granted, if you could get another speedy receiver to stretch the field, that would help, but Welker is not a #1.

Agreed, but your very point explains why our offense would be unstoppable with Moss, and why TO should be supporting it 100%.

TO has been the guy who opened up the field for Witten and others...can you imagine what Moss would do for TO?...TO might have an all-NFL year if he had Moss clearing out for him...Moss would have the long TD bombs, but TO would get more receptions and his long TD's would be YAC out the wazoo.

Again, it's very unlikely because the only way anyone in our situation could afford Moss would be through a dangerously long contract with a huge signing bonus...but a wideout like him would have an even bigger impact on TO and Witten than it did on the Patriot receivers.

It's PT!!!

Thank goodness! You're okay.

For awhile there, I thought that Andy Reid had roasted phoenix-bird after the regular season ended. Damn that man. He'll eat anything.

So, how long will it be before McNabb starts to blame Assante Samuel for his paranoid delusions of grandeur, eh?

You've got skills! That's too funny! But you've got no room to talk ...I heard Wade Phillips and Andy Reid rented an entire Philadelphia Cheese Steak restaurant after the game.

Attention folks, Randy Moss has resigned with New England... 3 years, $27 million.

Whew ...that was too close for comfort. Walk in my shoes for a minute ...could you image Randy Moss and T.O. in the same Division ...and on the same team! That's called complete and total domination!

The NFC-East just dodged a big bullet!

In other words Moss still gets to be Moss, while TO gets to be...Welker 2.0.

Oh yeah, TO wouldn't have a problem with that.

Well, I hope that's true. I must say though. Evidence shows that your visits seem to follow patterns of the Eagle's success. When the Eagles nose dived, so did your visits to CZ. You didn't show up again until Samuels signed.

I completely agree there are *some* top notice posters here. (I even argue with several all the time.) I know they alone are worth visiting the board *sometimes*. I enjoy smacking a few of them around like theogt (Mr. Mel Kiper), theebs, Chocolate Lab, superpunk, Hostile, and a few others. ;) :)

WG is a top notch who always keeps us informed. (I don't smack her around.... MUCH!)

Phoenix-Troll came here to tell us that the eagles "still hath teeth"! :laugh2:

When the eagle were dominating the division he was alway here saying crap like;

Bring it!

Get it!

Get some!

Now that the losers are back to where they belong, he rarely shows up, and when he does, it's because the eagles won a game, or they signed someone to be the next savior! In other words, he's a fraud, period!

Zone, Zone, Zone, Zone!!!

Ask him for the url to the site that he supposedly moderates! See if he answers. He won't! See, it's OK for troll boy to come here and spew, yet it's not OK for some Cowboy fans to go where he is? Very cowardly...yet typical!!
