Was watching the local sports station here in Florida and they reported rumors that the Dolphins are interested in Steve Spurrier as their head coach next year. The agent for Spurrier wouldn't confirm or deny the report.

Apparently they didn't get a view of his tenure in skinsville...

At least he won some games there. I'm dead serious when I say that Miami could go 0-fer this season.

It is not out of the realm... but I figure their defense can win them a game or two...

Besides... we need them to finish ahead of Buffalo... ;)

I heard the same thing from a reporter/analyst Tony Barnhardt. He was on local radio in Atlanta and they asked about Spurrier to North Carolina.

TB said no because he wouldn't want to beat up on Duke.

Then they asked about Texas and he said Spurrier loves the Florida beaches.

TB said he thinks he'll be with the Dolphins next season because the Dolphins owner loves Spurrier and thinks he got a raw deal with the Commanders.

Personally, I can't believe another NFL team would want the goof (friggin Belichick will KILL the Dolphins now), and I can't believe Spurrier wouldn't want to go back to college.

I think it would be a good move for Spurrier.

Just think... they'll get one of the first picks next year, and he can pick the QB of his choice, be it Aaron Rodgers, Matt Leinert, Kyle Orton, etc.

With a new regime in place, they can gradually work Ricky back into the lineup, stating that everything's a clean slate now.

Plus they'll have David Boston back at WR to go along with Chambers and Booker. Not a bad trio. They can also pick up a speed guy in the draft if they want to.

That's not a bad O all of the sudden, with Captain pitch-and-catch at the helm... it could be downright dangerous. Add to that their already solid D, and that's not a bad team.

They still have Feeley to start for a year, or part of a year, while they bring their rookie along. And Ricky has a brand new coach in place to give him a second chance.

I'd take it if I was Steve-o. Plus with the team as bad as it is, there's nowhere to go but up.

Last, I think it would be hilarious if he was successful somewhere else in the NFL... suck on that Snyder and you fickle Commander fans!
