Heard this on 610 WIP this morning.. during a tour of the facilities, some people found a football in a box in the corner of the locker room. The football had tape across it with "Terrell Owens, 100th TD catch". The people who saw it took pictures, hopefully we'll have a link shortly.

Not sure if anyone even cares about this, but to me, it is just another sign of a classless organization, not only did they refuse to even announce his 100th TD catch in the stadium, they didn't even give the player the ball.

By that time Owens had already pissed off everyone in the organization. The entire thing had devolved into a state of mutual disrespect. I'm not excusing the Eagles organization since it was a classless act on their part BUT Owens did bring it on himself.

My thoughts are if Owens had caught all 100 TD's with the Eagles they prob would have made a big to do about it but he didn't leave it alone I say....

Poor Owens, I suppose Jones will now have to give him another 5 million to make up for the happiness he lost out on getting the ball. I hate Jones having to pay owens happy money when we were not the team that made him unhappy. Hell he disrespected us and we are the ones that have to pay to make him happy. Go figure. Thats Irony there for you.

Just have Philly fed ex it to Dallas. Not a big deal.

They're not paying him "happy money", they're paying him money that his talent level warrants.

I don't think things had deteriorated completely at that point. That was before the Brett Favre comments and the fight with Douglas. Actually, you could point to that San Diego game when he caught that pass as the beginning of the end as I am sure he felt disrespected. That was probably the final straw in terms of his behavior.

The very next week he had a huge game against Denver and then the ankle injury, the faking allegations, the fight with Douglas and all occurred.

Philly people tell me WIP is a joke, and notorious for putting out wrong info.

Like the Walker to Philly rumor on draft day - when he went to Denver.

Why is this thread up?
I have no idea, let's ban the poster. :D

It just seems to me that the Eagles organization like to perpetuate this image of being the "gold standard" for organizations in the NFL and the media just loves to jump on that bandwagon. But in truth, they show their players none of the loyalty that they themselves demand from the players.

it is pretty simple, you pay the man what he and your organization thinks he is worth...the man is happy.

The Eagles don't do this with anyone much less Terrel.

Yes they did.

But only McNabb, which was part of the problem.

I am one of the folks that didn't want TO here, but he is here and a Cowboy now.

Hope he gives this franchise the respect it deserves.

Good thoughts.

And come to think of it, Terrell gave the Philadelphia franchise and fans all the respect they deserved. I never thought of it that way.;)

All i know is I cant wait for the first cowboys-eagles matchup, the game in Philly.

I'm going to go to the sports bar in my neighborhood to watch the game and listen to eagles fans rant and rave, i can only imagine the kind of things people will say if TO lights them up. Should be good for a lot of laughs.

Who cares? Honestly. This is another pathetic 'poor TO' story. He is always the victim.

I agree.

I wasn't for the signing...but now that it is done...well, I have to go against my conditioning and hope this B!tch wrecks havoc week after week.

I know there are some..."fans"...here that will call me a homer....but whether I am "ON" a team....or simply a fan...I do like any good teamate does...I buy into it and support full on. I know some..."fans" (i.e. FANATICS!, right?)...take themsleves a little too seriously and consider themselvse Team Administration or "Objective Followers"...so be it. Have fun with that.

I chose to be a fanatic. Look it up in the dictionary.
