Rumor: We Will Be Wearing Blue Uni's At Home

The other teams in the league could get annoyed at us and mandate the colored jersey as the home and the white as the away with no exceptions.

But that is not the case,or it would've been reported...........someone just pulled this out of their *** and threw it out there to get a reaction

Why annoyed? We are AMERICA'S TEAM! Jealousy would be my first guess if it did ever happen.

Actually the rumor came from Romo himself.

Him and Jessica and a party of 10 came into my work a few months ago, and I just gave my buddy who works there the blue Romo jersey I had, and told him I wish I had a white one to sign.

Romo told him to tell me not to worry because he thinks we're changing them up to home jerseys this season.

Sorry still no link for more further proof.

Didnt we wear Blue at home before Tex thought of changing it? After what are now called throwback(white helmet blue star) didnt we wear blue?

I dont know... I am asking...

If we did.. then I wouldnt mind doing it once this year.... a fairwell of sorts to the old stadium... "return to blue"
We wore blue at home until 1964 when the NFL made it team choice.

Tex Schramm felt that with the Cowboys in blue and the other team in white every game looked almost the same. So now instead of blue and white every week you see white and blue, purple, green, red, maroon, black, brown, etc.

I believe as color TV became more popular that this made watching the Cowboys more appealing to viewers. Only 2 other teams employ this strategy, the Skins and the Dolphins, but Dallas was first.

I thought the Cowboys and Fins also did it because of the heat factor...having the other team wear the dark jerseys, especially early in the season would be hotter for them...I cant remember where/when I read it, but it was a long time ago...the Chargers also wear white jersey's at home some for that reason I think...the Rams did too(some) when they were in LA

The game with Jacksonville a couple of years ago, I clearly remember them making us wear the blue jerseys for that exact reason. That's a recent time I can remember off the top of my head.

Carolina wears their whites for some home games as well

Almost as immature and dumb as a skins fan..

I'm sorry Matt. :sarcasm:

:damn:

Seriously though, I hate the Blue Uniforms. Too many bad memories.

Have three jerseys, #22 Smith, # 31 Williams, #28 Woodson, #88 Michael Irvin (Double Star Practice Jersey) all white. At 7 years old my very 1st Roger Staubach jersey was white. Next jersey will be white.

The white uni's just look better.

The Cardinals wore all-white at home for quite awhile in the 70s and the 80s, not sure when they started doing that though.
