I follow a lot of College football (Pac-12) and the big rumor is that the Eagles met with Chip Kelly recently to gauge his interest in the NFL. I could see Kelly leaving and most people in the Pac-12 would be shocked if Kelly sticks around. The NCAA and Oregon has agreed that recruiting violations did take place so it's only a matter of time for the NCAA to bring the hammer. Philthydelphia would be an interesting place to see Kelly go with Macklin, De sean Jackson , Shady Mc Coy not to mention Vick if he doesn't get run out of town with Hamburlger Reid.

I hope it happens, it will fail worse than Spurier in Washington.

Has there been ANY college coach not named Jimmy that's succeeded in the NFL?

At this point, I don't think Pete Carroll qualifies.

Is Tom Coughlin considered successful in NFL by your standard? I guess not.

^ That was an honest oversight on my part.

Coughlin is finally getting the recognition due him.

Jim Harbaugh, although the success has been over a short period so it could be
debated, but he seems like a high caliber coach to me.

Bill Walsh was the head coach at Stanford before he took over the 49ers.

Harbaugh took the same route between Stanford and the 49ers.

Last few years? Looks like they've gone 3 for 3. Harbaugh, Carroll and Schiano have all done good jobs so far.
