Run Blocking

Our pass blocking has seemed to be great this year and giving Bledsoe loads of time, but on too many run plays we are getting hit behind the line and not opening up holes for our backs. This could be due to Al Johnson getting stuffed. What do you guys think?

It's due to the fact that A-Train and the rookie RB's aren't in Julius Jones' league.

The Giants had NO respect for our running game, and we did nothing on the ground to punish them.

They forced us into 3rd and long situations, and then threw everything they had at us.

Game shouldn't have gone to the end like that.

Julius is even getting hit behind the line a lot too. Isn't his average about 3.6 per carry? I put the decrease in his stats on the shoulders of the O-Line.

Run blocking is the major problem this line has had so far this year and it needs to improve. If we don't start moving the ball on the ground better it will come back to haunt us later this year.

But what you said about Al Johnson getting stuffed is a myth, I've rewatched every game except this game and it wouldn't surprize me if Johnson wasn't our highest graded lineman this year. I'm not going to waste my time rewatching this game because every week the same self appointed experts make the same claims only to be shown they are wrong. If they weren't wrong they would give you the plays which Johnson was so seriously overmatched, They never do and can't because it simply isn't true.

Just a couple of weeks ago the same old crap it was shot down by first AdamJT13 them Parcells said that Johnson played the best of the lineman that week. My guess is the "experts" haven't rewatched the games or that they wouldn't know a good center if he knocked them out......

Al Johnson was destroyed today. I suggest you rewatch the game. You may also want to pay attention to: his fumbled snap, poor block causing the Bledsoe interception and his penalty negating a touchdown. Those are three that quickly come to mind.

I suppose those 2 holding penalties today on Johnson are myths as well?

predictability!!!!! the same old same old. you can not expect the o-line to defend against 7or 8 defenders people. get real! teams still continue to run blitz us because we are so predictable little or no play action to keep them honest. when we switch up our horrible single back scheme and pass on those ridiculously obvious running downs to keep teams honest then and only then will teams respect our offense!

By the way did you see johnson get absolutely flattened several times? not just in this game but every game. if you want a strong middle bench johnson!

oh! notice how we shredded the iggles. we passed when they thought we would run and we used play action on the usual running plays that they run blitzed on!

GET THE PICTURE! after a stunning performance last week, we go back to parcell's conservative and predictable running game and almost have a repeat of the deadskin's game! please don't give me that al johnson is not the problem. somehow he winds up on his *** or 5 yards in the back field!
