Just wanted to point out our run D over the last 2 games so it doesn't get overlooked. I know it's something people are hush about when we have good games and start to whine about when we miss our gap responsibilities and tackles. How bout that tiny NT Rat?

There was someone on this board who made a tiny NT thread about a couple of weeks ago and was supposed to eat crow if we stopped 2 great running teams in the Gmen and Panthers.

Igor, has been great. From what I've seen from watching the line play, definite upgrade in run D but a down grade in pass rush from Canty. But for what we ask him to do, he's been outstanding.

Siavii has been very good also. He's really held his ground against double teams and is given Rat a much needed and reliable breather sub.

You beat me to the punch, man. Was just going to start a thread on Igor. He didn't show much in preseason and I have to admit I was a *little* concerned. But obviously that was just veteran 3/4 speed in exhibition season, because he's turned it on the last two games. Pretty sure he led us in tackles tonight.

Good luck running on us lately. Very proud of our run D.

Spears is pouting bc of his contract... Igor is making him look reallly really bad!

the whole line played well tonight. Stephen bowen was pushing the pile pretty good tonight.

Spears and ratliff I think sent some tackles igor's way, but he made them none the less.

Ratliff is foolishly good.

I wanted to make a thread about Igor and Rat last week, but I figured it would get lost in the hoopla...

Igor has been as good as advertised. We haven't missed a beat without Canty against the run.

And Ratliff... He might be the best interior lineman in football. He is the 2nd most valuable player on this team behind Romo.

dont know much about how Siavii played..but for persistence he deserves a pat on the back..try try try again

I still think it's Ware. Undoubtedly.

Wow, chocolate lab and I agree on something.

Seriously, the run d has been pretty good.

We would not be as good on defense without Ware but the hit to Romo would hurt the most. Romo is the MVP of this team. Ratliff is second and Ware third by his play so far. And that's giving him credit for some double teams. He was handled readily last nite though. He may be hurt. His first step is not the same as it used to be.

What? Where is this coming from?

I was going to start an IGOR thread too: agree with all your points: run D is much better: just stout. Brooking has helped too: pass rush will improve with Ware getting healthier, Butler getting more comfy and Jwilliams coming back in a couple weeks too: it'll get better............can't get much worse really.

I hope we can get Bowen resigned after or before the end of the season. I would hate to lose him next year. The guy just keeps turning it up a little bit more each game it seems. I think he's better than Spears from what I've seen and has quite a good rush.

Don't sleep on Kris Jenkins. I do think Ratliff is better than Haynesworth though. At least you can count him to go all out when he's in the game.

I think once we get someone beside Ware that can threaten a QB when we rush 5 from our base package, Ware will get his sacks. He needs space and Canty used to give him that with a decent pass rush. He's not getting that this year so the threat of an inside move has been taken away. It's either outside or nothing and going around the corner can take too long if the QB is getting rid of the ball early to avoid an outside rush.
