Run Defense?

Wade was brought in as Head Coach because he was supposed to be a defensive guru. The Giants ran all over us last night. In his post game press conference Wade mentioned that the Giants were very successful running the ball until we finally made some adjustments. The adjustments came way too late in my opinion since they were able to manage a 20 point swing before the adjustments were implemented.

I know Wade's gone, but I just can't understand what he was doing all that time. Wade also talked about how the team had a huge let down after Romo's injury. I suppose this was his excuse as well. He was too busy holding his head in his hands to adjust the play of his run defense.

What a disaster.

Run defense is about being physical. Wade has made our players cupcakes.

That's the main reason you can't fire him during the season, we wouldn't have a defensive coach. His defense created 5 turnovers last night but were dead tired due to post Tony 3 and outs. They also didn't get any rest when Tony was in as they gave the offense a short field, they scored and the defense had to come right back out there.

They were tired? They had no problem moving the ball down the field the whole game except for the tipped ball INTs to start the game.

No it wasn't just that they were tired. Gruden was talking about how the Giants were taking advantage of our zone defense with quick screens and isolation plays. You could see how our D was continually out of position and the adjustments were Very slow in coming.
