Run defense

Its really been our achilles heal this year. Each of our losses we have gotten gashed by the run.

Teams are doing to us what we did to them last season

Smith sucks at MLB right now. U can't sit here and tell me we can't find a vet guy in FA to play better than what smith is doing. I mean I know this is basically his rookie season but its costing us games right now.

It pains me to agree, but I do. Play after play, he's slow to react, late to the play or just a step behind.

Last year the key to our defense was the ability to stop the run and ability to force teams to kick field goals. The ability to stop the run is long gone.

Stop it with the Jaylon Smith sucks post. The guy is coming back from major knee injury and is not 100%. Besides he's adapting to the speed of the NFL. By next year he will be a different player.

So the defense (and therefore season) rests on a 31 year old LB who has been hurt a ton in his career?

When Texas Tech, the worst college defense in Division 1 football last year knocks Jones out of the game last year against Utep, and the cowboys can't even stop him, you got big problems!!!!
