It was just an all around disaster of a game for the team. OL rush block rate was poor, Pollard ran to the wrong spot 2 or 3 times so he shares some blame, the run scheme itself was pathetic and pedestrian. This all after the niners boasted all week they were going to eliminate the run game.

Just simply watching the browns they had a much better run scheme and play calling. You could tell a run was coming from us a mile away

I told y'all even before the end of last year when everyone was saying that Zeke was done and that Tony needed to be the #1 RB, I said it then and have been saying it ever sense, Tony isn't built to be a lead back and that he would/will struggle in that role. Especially just coming back from his major knee injury. He just isn't able to pound the ball inside effectively, definitely not over and over again to soften up defenses and he isn't a good pass blocker either. I said all along that if they don't get an inside pounder to move the pile, to take and deliver the punishment to the defense over a course of a game that we would struggle running the ball. Especially when we needed it most like late in a game when we need to to seal a victory, in short yardage and in goal line situations. I thought for sure they would draft a RB in the mid rounds to replace Zeke's role. They failed to do so and we are paying the price for that mistake. You can bet your butt that we will draft a complete RB within the first 4 rds come April.
And not to keep tooting my own horn but they should have listen to me when I said that they needed to draft Torrence for LG, move Tyler to LT and make Tryon the RT, keeping Steele as the primary back up. How much better do you think that O-line would be running the ball right now?

you mean like dont hand the ball off just put T. Pollard o his shoulders and hit the hole?
Naw, Dak is supposed to run the ball too. I mean, I guess he could give himself a "FYI flea-flicker" but he may draw a flag.

Browns have outstanding O and D lines. That's how they won.

If u aren't controlling the LOS, simply choosing to run the ball 45 times won't miraculously give you the win.
