I think you need to be able to pass first to be successful in the run game or you at least need other teams to believe that you have the ability to beat hem with the pass. What say you...

Yesterday I felt the same way. It depends on who you are playing but when a team is strong against the run I like passing on them to set up the run

But that only works if your QB is accurate, your WRs can get open and your line can pass block, lol.

Both run and pass require consistent blocking...this team didn't meet those requirements. The pocket was collapsing at an alarming rate. Dak threw a few bad passes but that one at the end was as good as you can expect given the space he had to work with...he hit #15 where only he could get to it and it bounced off of his hands...

Your QB could be the most accurate QB in the league, and your WRs could burn people every play, unless you are running screens every play you still need 3-5 seconds of a pocket to throw from...

I think you run to run! We are a team built to run the ball. If a defense is stout in the middle then you run counters and sweeps. If they've got speed on the edges then you run dives and off tackle. Do whatever you have to do to get the run game going. It seems as if the coaches are unaware of the situation at any given time.
  • We know that offensive linemen would rather run than pass block,
  • We know we've got a new center and a rookie guard.
  • We know we've got average to below average talent at wr.
  • We know that we've gone heavy at the TE position.
It seems to me that the best position for your team to be in at that point is running the ball. How does Cam end up with just as many carries and more yards than possibly the best RB in the game behind the best offensive line?

We're going to take what the defense gives us.
And when the defense gives us nothing nothing is what we will take:(
