What would you like to see?

Personally I would like Barber to start the first 2 drives to "set the tone", have Choice play during the 2nd and 3rd quarters, then have Barber come back in to close the game out.

And of course sprinkle Felix in throughout in different situations with 15-20 touches a game.

And this is of course if nobody has a super hot hand .... cause you leave that guy in, in that case.

Anyone else have anything in mind?

Really depends on how Barber is doing. Right now we know Choice is ready to go and we know he is capable of carrying a good deal of the load if need be based off how he ran last year when he was the only healthy back.

I would keep fresh legs in the game by switching in and out with MB & TC, ... then sprinkle FJ in and get him the ball in space. (sweeps, screens, reverses, short passes, etc.)

I would use all three and wear down the defense.

They have all three earned playing time.

The rotation should should be decided on which RB is hot...If barber is running good early on then let him continue to get the load unless he has to rest.

marion barber should be the first option though... and Felix and Choice the change of pace guys.

Agreed. Conversely, if Choice is hot continue to run him.
Whichever one is getting the yards.

True but I think they look at more than just the rushing. With Barber out last week Romo was nailed 2 times in situations where the RB needed to step up and take on the rusher. I love all 3 backs but I think there is a reason why Barber is still getting more playing time right now

15 to 20 touches a game is a lot more than a sprinkle, that's like a couple of dollops. But I'm all for it. Until he invariably gets hurt that is.

I think Felix should be on the field in some capacity for about 75% of the offensive plays. Obviously, he would not get the ball every time, but just his presence would distract defenders.

I certainly see and understand what you're saying. I know for certain the one time when the guys in the booth made mention of Romo getting drilled and missing Barber that was due to Felix. I'll have to go back and watch the game again to see specifically how Choice handled it in that respect.

edit: Just realized that this question, in the OP, was posed for the whole season. I assumed it was regarding this Sunday.

I think Choice is a better blocker than Felix at this stage of their careers. Barber though they know he will make the blocks and offensive players really seem to feed off Barber running style. Thing with Felix I do think we will see him more involved in the passing game splitting out wide as the season moves on. I don't think what we are seeing today will be exactly what we will be seeing as the season moves forward.

Agreed, 100%

This is true.

I truly believe that Barber and Jones should get all the carries in the 4th quarter. By the 4th quarter, D is tired so you pound with Barber and send in our lighting rod Jones to change the pace and probably score to put opponents away.

Barber and Jones in 1st. 2nd Q mostly Choice with occasional Jones. 3rd Q Choice, Barb/Jones. 4th Q all Barb and Jones.

Barber - 65%
Felix - 35%
Choice - Only plays when one of the above are injured.

I think a perfect example of how we should use them was the Giants game.

I'll take that every time.

Each one has their own unique ability. I love our RB's.

He's too valuable for that. Plus he can help keep the other two healthy/fresh.

Let's just end the discussion and go line up in the wishbone.:laugh1:
We can put a new twist on it, line 'em up three deep, run guys in motion, counters, make two become recievers the possibilities are endless and half the coaches have never coached against it.
Yeah, the new wishbone, replaces the wildcat...call it the wildbone.

If Felix can stay healthy, I'd prefer he start and Barber close. Mix Choice in between.

While I like Choice as a good all around back, I just don't think he brings to table the playmaking abilty that Barber and Jones do. So I really don't like the idea of giving him 5 carries a game when they could go to Jones.

Plus as we have seen already he will get lots of chances throughout the year when one or both of them are hurt.

More touches for Barber than 2 series in the 1st, and a "closer" role. The guy IS our best running back.
