Running game - why stuck in the middle?

Dallas only ran wide on 4 occasions against Oakland... 1 by Barber and 3 by Jones. The other 28 running plays ran to the middle. All four of the end runs were to the left side. Don't you think with the girth Oakland has in their tubby DT's, it would be beneficial to make them run the sidelines a few times? Jones and Thompson have speed, and Campbell and Keyshawn are both good run blockers. I would have liked to see us try to string it out more.

Anyone else notice this?

Yes, I was so frustrated. Sitting on my couch as a layman I could tell you where they would run....As I am sure the Oakland D knew....

i was thinking the same thing. oakland has to big bodies at DT and we kept running wide at them. i don't know why we didn't run any mis-direction or counter type plays. i thought the whole offensive game plan was pretty pathetic.

I totally agree. The play calling is so conservative a child could scheme against it
