Beating two quality teams and doing it on the final drive, it quite impressive for a backup QB who has started just those 2 games. He had some shaky moments, but all QB's do, but was clutch when we needed him the most and did not have any turnovers. If he can score 20 points a game, we will be very successful.

Dare I say he's earned the starting job?

Back-up? We have a QB controversy. Dak Prescott doesn't win this game.

I am super impressed by Rush. But the way the defense played today, if Dak was playing the Cowboys would have cruised to an easy win.

I understand there is a major anti-Dak sentiment here, but if anybody walked into any NFL scouting department and said they would take Rush over Dak they would be laughed into oblivion.

Remember that time that some scrawny kid out of Illinois beat out a pro bowl QB and landed himself amongst the Cowboys greats?

Or that time some rookie 4th round draft pick out of Mississippi beat out a legendary Dallas QB? (Still don't agree with this one, but c'est la vie)

Ya that probably isn't happening here, but it is the Cowboy way. If Rush wins the next three, the Jones boys are going to have a problem on their hands, warranted or not.

Yeah he’s a great back-up. Needing him to start more than a handful of games would be a problem. He has serious limitations….but so does Dak unfortunately.
Contrary to Dak's usual complaints "accuracy" I think his biggest problem is holding the ball too long when receivers aren't open. Romo in that situation was always great at rolling out of the pocket to buy time. Dak shows the ability to do that at times, but it isn't his MO. I think this is why he has arrid throws more than anything. If you watch elite players they either roll out, or throw it away. As simple as that sounds, sometimes the ego gets in the way of players, and it can be good or bad. A fine example is Brett Favre. It was his Achilles heel as well. Hell of a QB, but too stubborn to lose a down at times even if was the better choice. Hence all the INT's.

It's not happening. Romo was way more athletic and had infinitely better arm talent than Rush; so there is no comparison there aside from their undrafted status.

Somehow the Dak led Cowboys scored 64 touchdowns last season. Listen I am thrilled with Rush and can't wait to see what he does next, but let's not put him up on a pedestal based on one game. I know people want to see Dak lose his job because, well, not sure why but I'm just going to enjoy a big win against a very good Bengals team.

Just drive the bus, Cooper.

Dak should take notes.

You just have to play within the system. Then again, the coordinators have to set you up to succeed.

First game was against what appears to be one of the best defenses in the league.

Talk all the crap you want, the Saints only got 10 points on the Bucs defense...

It's a little premature to write off Dak.

Dak shouldn't lose his job based on one game.

The Bucs did the same thing to the Saints, essentially.

I'm just happy that we didn't start out 0-2, which I was anticipating.

Can't we just enjoy the win?
