Beating two quality teams and doing it on the final drive, it quite impressive for a backup QB who has started just those 2 games. He had some shaky moments, but all QB's do, but was clutch when we needed him the most and did not have any turnovers. If he can score 20 points a game, we will be very successful.

Im not going to lie.... Dak is a better quarterback than Rush, but imo, Rush has earned the right to start because of his willingness to take the chances that Dak hasn’t shown of late. I love Rush's aggressiveness.

It's not happening. Romo was way more athletic and had infinitely better arm talent than Rush; so there is no comparison there aside from their undrafted status.
I'm not comparing Rush to Romo. I saw something special in #9 in his first preseason outing. Rush is a bus driver at best after so many years in the league.

The problem is if Rush continues to succeed with what he has around him, QB1 loses the excuse of having a bad team around him. What happens if he comes back and struggles like he did last week?

That is a good question. Like I said in another thread, Rush might start to struggle once teams get more film on him, but either way everybody knows this is Dak's team. Contractually they cannot move on from Dak even if they wanted to, and they don't want to in the first place.

Unfortunately you're right. This team is handcuffed to Dak, whether he comes back strong or not. That narrative isn't going to go away if he struggles though. How do you reconcile playing a struggling QB if the guy on the bench was the one winning games? If nothing else, it'll be interesting to watch.

The good news is that if Rush continues to play well, the Cowboys could be 5-3 or better when Dak comes back and then we'll see how he plays.

I hope everybody will be just as hyped if Rush has a bad game and they lose next week.

Gonna take more than 2 wins to dislodge the Jones’s 160 Million Dollar Man.

This game says more about Prescott than it does Rush…..but some of us aren’t surprised.

this defense is gonna be peaking by next season and we better have better talent at the Qb position than either of these two gentleman

I am super impressed by Rush. But the way the defense played today, if Dak was playing the Cowboys would have cruised to an easy win.

I understand there is a major anti-Dak sentiment here, but if anybody walked into any NFL scouting department and said they would take Rush over Dak they would be laughed into oblivion.

Dak Cruises to an easy win based on.... his performance in the Tampa game? Rush is a better QB right now. He came out of the gate with guns blazing in the first half throwing the ball all over the field and even making Noah Brown look like a serviceable wr. The offense was stymied in the second half as Cincy had the ball most of the time and Moore went super conservative.

The entire offense stunk against Tampa. We have seen Dak perform at a high level far more times than we have seen him have games like the Tampa Bay one. Let's not dip a glass of water in the ocean, look inside it, and say there's no whales out there anymore.

People don’t understand how big of a win this is. The Bengals are loaded offensively. The Cowboys shut them down without forcing a turnover. Unlike Herbert Burrow has some skins on the wall. When Cowboys get a lead on you they unleash an impressive pass rush. Barr and LVE were awesome.

If Rush leads Dallas to a few more wins in a row and starts getting more comfortable and performing better then what???

That is the formula for success, however, the offense has to do their part and play ahead of the scoreboard.

There are alot of threads that aren't Dak threads, but his name is still brought up in them. You don't say **** to the people who do that so miss me with that BS.

I was just making a statement in Rush's behalf. So go sit ya self down somewhere and enjoy this when. Nobody asked you to comment.

You mean like those Dak fanboys would be for just a month ago saying they’d take him over Herbert?
