Which brings me to my second point kids, Don't Do Crack.
If you seriously believe NFL QB’s and MLB pitchers only use their arms to throw than you’re as clueless as they come. Go look up throwing motions and how power is generated in throwing a ball. Did you not play little league and learn how to throw a ball or were you too busy with the crack pipe lol

That is a ridiculous statement on your part.
Sorry if I offended you, just thought while reading your explanation that it was 101.

Yes I'm aware, however there are guys like Allen, Rodgers (in his youth), Mahomes, Stafford, Herbert off the top of my head that can rip a fastball or throw a bomb without having to turn their body into a human trebuchet to do it.
Why is this so hard for blind to recognize.
No offense to the blind.

what!?

scored a TD when game was pretty much done, against prevent defense, handing the ball over to the falcons with 1 1/2 minute to go and no timeouts....game over!!!

and didn't we score TDs in trying to come back against Ravens and SF? but everyone called it garbage time....some how this garbage is acceptable......

come on folks.....get real
Nobody is claiming Rush is the hottest prospect around, by any measure. Just saying he managed to be reasonably competitive where Dak failed to get the job done. I'm not claiming he's better than Dak or anything of the sort, but it's fairly obvious that Dak isn't the best version of himself at this point in time. It will take some time for him to recover before he ready to return to action. He'll need maybe a few weeks, at least.

Rush is probably better prepared to be our best backup, whereas Lance has time to go before he's ready to compete with Rush on an even level. I think Lance needs considerably more experience to be prepared to take Rush's place as Dak's backup if he's ever prepared to vie for that honor at all. The Cowboys also need a better prospect than Rush as Dak's successor, imho. Now, is that real enough to suit you?

what legit TD? down two scores and scoring with one minute to go!? with no timeouts left!!!! that's game over son...... its called garbage time for a reason.

same thing against Ravens and SF with Dak....

and who is saying trey lance is starting? two fans on the corner of this board starting a rumor!!!? seriously people.
Pretty sure that there are many who think the Cowboys need to see exactly what they have in Lance, if they haven't already. It's fairly obvious that he's not ready at this point in time, outside of his running ability.

We all have our opinions and that's the way it should remain here. Some are well taken and some aren't. Let's not minimize the rights of others than your own to be respected. I have mine and you have yours. I'm 100% willing to be openly respectful of those other members here, without passing judgment on them prematurely. How about yourself?!

It's early yet and there's much yet to be proven with Dak's backups. Time will tell the full story if it hasn't yet. Personally, I'm hoping we'll draft another QB in the next draft but that's just me.

I don't get how he was reasonably competitive? is it the dollars vs. completions ratio or something to that effect?

he wasn't effective. he failed. its ok. he came in the game and perhaps wasn't in the flow. that last drive and TD,was nothing but garbage time. prevent defense. keep the clock running. make sure dallas uses its timeouts and we did. Atlanta played it perfectly. kill the clock. and get the ball back. they got it with 1.5 minutes to go and dallas had no timeouts... the object is not to win by multiple TDs. the object was to win and they did.

and I agree, lance is not backup material. the game is over his head and he can run and that's his out. and Lance is pretty much what he is going to be unless you are going to wait another 4 years like Geno Smith for him to turn into an average QB....

and the issues with cowboys is bad GM, bad player personnel management and bad drafts. and I have been advocating for us to draft a QB in the first 4 rounds every 3 years. just be ready....

If Cooper Rush fails miserably under pressure, don't be surprised if the chants from the crowd gradually begin to grow for Lance to enter the fray. It might take a few games down the line, but the stadium spectators' patience only lasts so long before it runs out. Opposing teams are likely to put forth the most vicious pass rushing possible, knowing Rush is susceptible to going down under pressure. Anything can happen and it very well might.

I'm kind of worried that the team will rally around Rush and win games. What if we become last year's Browns only to wreck our draft position by 15 spots? Someone talk me into it. I'd probably enjoy the ride but this team needs an infuse of high spot talent from the draft in every round.

Sad to tell some.....The Cooper is the Savior narrative is simply not going to happen.
'Will not be as bad as the Andy the Red Water Pistol, you'll just have to see it and then the excuse narratives will surface rapidly.
Cooper ain't about to be in the pocket slicing & dicing the defenses. Cooper is going to be in the same collapsed pocket Dak has been in all year. Sorry Cooper, the board did this to you.

Not too much, though, because I don't think he can hold them up with his weak arm.
Considering the strength of our QB1 arm our WR is used to. :muttley:
Send me some of the good stuff you are smoking man!!!!
He's 58 million $ cheaper and on the same talent level or better than gimp man Dak.
