I know, I know, this thread isn't chic. It doesn't mention draft failures, or even have any weenie-envy in it.

But, I just thought it was nice to note, that Julius is 5th in the league in ypg, at 96 ypg. That projects out at nearly 1600 yards on the year, if he can keep close to this pace up. Only Tatum Bell and Laurence Maroney have comparable ypc averages, for the numbre of carries they've had, and each has ahd 4 games to get 60 carries, the same number as Julius in 3. Barber, in a change of pace role, is averaging 5.4 ypc, and also has 2 TDs.

We're 5th in rushing ypg. 6th in total ypg. This is a pretty good offensive start. And the defense is playing just as well. In terms of yardage, there isnt a more complete team on both sides than the Cowboys right now. 5th in defense, 6th in offense.

Not too shabby.

I agree. Not shabby at all.

on a somewhat related in a team in the division kind of way, the giants are worst D in the league in third down percentage. 58%. oh my.

Got a little confidence back, licking the chops?

Fun to look at ESPN, yardage per game stats for teams.

1. Philly
2. NYG
3. WSH
6. Dallas.

Yeah. The NFC Beast. The three teams at the top better get their D's in order, though.:D

I have to give much of the props to the offensive line. A part of the team that looked like a severe problem at the start of the season seems to be getting better and better each week. They didn't even skip a beat when Gurode got hurt.
Flo- looks like he is getting better each game.
Kosier- very quick and really is opening up some nice holes. Especially the one they highlighted during the game. Nice little FA signing Bill.
Gurode- we need to sign this guy up big time. He was mauling people today.
Rivera- I didn't notice anything he did or did wrong, but he allowed no pressure back to Bledsoe.
Columbo- Another guy that I am hoping we will sign.

This line is just starting to Gel and will get better as the season goes on. Granted, the Titans are not the big test, but I feel a whole lot better about our line after 3 games.:)

And we are 2nd in scoring in the NFL!

agreed. dallas does have the best D by far at the moment. skins are giving up far too many big plays.

i do like that the skins have moved the ball even though they have played against 3 good D's.

They need to get Springs into a hyperbaric chamber. NFC East isn't disappointing; now we need to knock Indy off its perch.

I give the skins big time props for beating the Jags. I never thought that game would be close. I think the skins are an emotional team that plays much better at home.
