If we are putting up 30 a game our run defense won’t be an issue. Teams won’t be trying to run because they have to keep up
 
I can only see one possible drawback. Pickens has to get the ball when he thinks he should get the ball. If he doesn't, it might get a little ugly folks.
But, i'm rooting for him.
 
Considering their trade for DK, Watts' contract, and the QB issue, I don't blame him. The point here is that some thought THE STEELERS wanted an end to this marriage, but instead, Pickens wanted out.

I know it's asking for a lot but it would be crazy if all of a sudden blew turned into a Gibbs type A Marshall Falk like maybe not right out of the box but more than most of us think he might turn into anything besides the receiving threat or someone to break a couple big ones he might turn out to be better than we think this is what I love about this offseason we have a whole bunch of new coaches players we have new threads about defensive lineman and people you're like curious what they're going to do in training camp in preseason it seems a much more fresher outlook than last year.....:thumbup::starspin:

Yeah Marshall Falk is a big missing piece, along with their offensive line, and coordinator. The Cowboys are closer to the Rams offense of last season which was quite good.

It is laughable to compare our current weapons to one of the best offenses ever to play, they have multiple hall of fame players. Our offense has potential with some of our new additions, but people got to stop with these over reactions.
 
Pickens is not a team guy. He's all about himself and maximizing his targets. When and if all these other Cowboys players benefit from his presence on the field, he will not see it as a good thing. He wants the ball and wants all the benefits from him being on the field. He can be great but his immaturity and unwillingness to share the rock will blow up his career and the Cowboy's season.

Actually, it's not it's what fans do we can debate anything...

it's being in a fantasy world of social media,

we can try to imagine where our pieces might fit we do have some similar pieces, I said we're missing the key one the coaching staff that's willing to have a wide open offense and Marshall Faulk..​

yes sometimes that's all you need that's why a guy like Terrell Davis at the right time put Elway's career where it needed to be if not he'd have been known for not being able to win the big game sometimes that one piece.. You know like Matthew Stafford landing on the Rams just at the right time he wasn't that great he led the league in interceptions he threw two interceptions in a Super Bowl by his presence hit at the right moment saquan Barkley last year with the Eagles the final piece the thing they were really truly missing...​

I think people dismiss the fact that you have a coaching staff that's willing to do something like that; throw out time of possession, throw out what football is supposed to be all about as far as strong run, first stop the run, play great defense ,

sometimes you just have an offense like that and you just go for broke the whole concepts even back in the run day with air Coriol and they had a lot of wide open offenses like in Houston the running gun or running shoot or wherever the hell it was called there's been some of those the thing you have to do is be a willing to run it and yes it's nice to have the pieces but you also have to have the willingness to not give a flying you know what to just absolutely dictate everything and throw out all old school thoughts on how you're supposed to play offense and defense and that's how you do it it don't always work we saw Chip Kelly try to do it with the Eagles it didn't work...

But you do realize that that was an accident as well kurt Warner was an undrafted free agent who was sitting there in Trent Green was supposed to be the answer and that all of a sudden things just went that direction for them and there's nothing wrong with the Cowboys fans thinking it could happen for them someday it could be just out of the blue just sudden..

So it's not a big deal, it's not silly at all why is it laughable, that we can't talk about it ??!!

it's ironic, because we're in fantasy world right now that's all we do is play hyperbole ,rhetoric ,give everyone's opinions ,and try to put comps on players and coaches that that's the only thing fans can do everything else is just us watching football we can breakdown games all you want but really the rest of this is fantasy world...​

By alternate and second response to that is yeah the Cowboys have had things similar to that I mean just a few years back we've been had the number one offense we had the who should have been MVP at quarterback we even had a few years before that had three receivers that nearly had 1000 yards and we had an Ezekiel Elliott that was pretty damn good but we've been snake bit at the wrong times that's what I used as a bad word for what goes on in the playoffs or the big games just if anything can go wrong it has gone wrong... So yes this George Pickens edition I don't think it's any bigger than Amari Cooper in 2018 we went to the second round of the playoffs when we should have been completely out of it we caught fire we had bad luck in the second round that was on the defense you know they they just didn't stand up that day but we did have the offense that was supposed to be able to pretty much run with anyone and we have had that I don't know how many number one offenses Prescott's been a part of it's been a couple but most of his career when he's been healthy and had a healthy team in any decent weapons we've been in the top three if not the top five almost his whole career in offense so yeah we need more total team effort here on all sides of the ball and coaching staff to come together to have any kind of chance at becoming a great team but there's nothing wrong with fantasizing about it...

so I'll give you that that we're overreacting a bit to George Pickens we have had that here already and it failed we have had some of the best runners in football and Ezekiel Elliott and Demarco Murray and it still failed and they were running behind one of the best offensive lines in football and it still failed in the playoffs...

The best offense we had over the last 20 seasons, was probably the Murray/Romo squad that was beaten in GB. That team had a legitimate, offensive, balanced attack. Defense was average at best and wouldn't of matter if Dez caught that ball or not as the defense wasn't going to stop Rodgers.

Point is, doesn't matter how good our offense is, means nothing if the defense cannot do it's part. The Colts always had terrific offenses in Manning era, but they won their 1 SB cause the defense did it's part and were healthy during their run.

To be honest, if this offense finds a strong running game, they can potentially be real good, but winning in this league is about the team not just 1 unit.

That's what I said, it's also more than just one person hanging records on the quarterback and the head coach alone is insane...

it's been insane for a long time that's why I don't understand when you hear people talking about football teams they soon as they bring up the quarterback they bring up his record his record in the playoffs, then when they talk about head coaches they talk about his record.

they never talk about the defensive end or the corner or the wide receiver or the entire group in the trenches when they're screwing up.

they also have the same record they shared in that shame or in that pride... I mean when you're winning it's as a group as a team when you're losing it's as a group as a team..


it's insane to me that we literally talk about two out of Approximately 70 responsible parties when you're talking about the players and the coaching staff but it's insane that only two people somehow carry this record around it's not how it should be it's never how it should be..

Like for instance ,TJ what supposed to be one of the best defensive ends in this era the man is 0 and 4 in the playoffs, he has only one sack shouldn't he be accountable shouldn't when they say TJ Watts up for a new contract but look at his bad playoff record, he should be blamed for their bad playoff record, because he's part of it,

I mean that's also insane that when our guys around here fans that say Parsons disappears in big games and I can bring up guys like Joey Bosa and Miles Garrett also the same players that are not getting it done in crunch time, and know it's not all their fault but it's also not just the quarterback or the head coach there's a lot of moving parts in football in all sports but football is is the ultimate team sport and it really gets old hearing about our quarterbacks having a losing record in the playoffs as if they get it all by themselves,

nope actually their play actually has been pretty good in the playoffs around them was so bad they couldn't overcome it but apparently if they don't carry bad teams in bad games then they it's their fault because they make the most money and they're exposed at the position that's supposed to be the be all end all and that's just wrong...

Yes, that triggers me, I'm tired of hearing he like THE QB OR HC has a record, only the teams have that record....
