I think RW is going to have a huge game today. If I was the Pats I would watch out for him. He has to be pretty hot about getting the fine from last weeks game. Remember last time when he was pissed? I think it was a game against Seattle 2 years ago. He was playing Mr. Nice guy until they made him mad....then they unleashed the beast and it was a bad day for Seattle. I hope the Commish has finally made him mad so he can get back to his old form. I am not liking the nice Roy.

Yes, I predict at least one key horsecollar penalty and at least one key blown coverage.

Roy is having a good year so far. Every since the last drive against New York(when he made all 4 plays to end that drive) he's been all over the field.

I think NE is actually the kind of offense that RW really punishes.

They like to spread you out and the backs will have to face the SS a lot. RW will punish you on those tackles. And the Pats will try to hit Watson and Welker on underneath stuff where RW can come up and a deliver a blow. Watson has great hands but he isn't the biggest, strongest TE in the league at all at 6'3" and 255 or so.

Say whatever nastiness about RW you want but he does play well in big games and is a big play maker. When it comes to the Pro Bowls or whatever he magically covers fine and punishes people.

By the end of the day I expect RW has a lot of Pro Bowl votes from the Pats offensive players.

And the horse-collar whining annoys me to no end. That tackle was legal for what 50 years of football? Now it's not and RW is supposed to magically stop instinctively using it? How long has face-masking been illegal? How of those happen each week?

We all better hope that RW and the rest of the defense have a great day.

Why cant we put Bradie James on Watson. Its still a mismatch but heck, James is prolly better in coverage then Roy anyways. Then Roy can go get Brady.

I actually feel like Roy will make some positive game changing plays for us.

I like RW.

But it's been a long time since he's made a huge hit.

Early in his career, you would see him make at least one HUGE hit on a WR or RB a game.

Now....you only see him chasing guys from behind.

I know teams are gameplanning him....maybe we're failing to adjust.

Roy and Hamlin need to get the defense and this team jumpstarted with their big time hits i want them to make the patriots wide outs feel pain

...that the defensive front will not get enough pressure on Brady and Williams will be forced to play in space running down a TE or a receiver.

If there's pressure and Brady checks down that's when Roy will show his talents.

If Brady has time and Roy is forced to cover beyond the second level, then I have reservations on how well he can match up.

Check downs Roy plays coming forward towards the line of scrimmage. Intermediate to deep passes Roy is running from behind chasing the receiver.

That is getting to be an every week occurance with him. It's probably not a big deal any more.

I think eventually (if they havent already) they have to take tapes of some of these plays, along with plays from other games where flags ARNT thrown, and ask what the difference is

other teams are definitely doing it and getting away with it, yet RW is the one being flagged and fined.....same thign with that ignorant spike rule...seems its directed at one player, while others get away with it weekly (and once 81 was flagged for it, and didnt even spike the ball)

Ben Watson is going to have a great day against Roy.

I guess we'll see, although I could say Jason Witten will have a monster game against Rodney Harrison too couldnt I?

RW is not nearly as bad in coverage as alot of you make it out to be...if he were, we'd never stop anybody
