They had said that they were for sure going to draft a QB. Didn't say when, but no secret that they want a new one.

I would not use the 8th pick on any QB in this class, but jmo.

I've been to Buffalo. I can't imagine anyone not smiling as they are leaving that city. I'm sure Fitzpatrick is one happy camper right now. Can't go anywhere worse: Detroit doesn't need a QB.

He'll be a backup anywhere he goes not named Arizona. He'd actually be a good backup, just not a good starter.

Now, he has more time now to do cameos for "The League".

I can easily see him popping up with several qb needy teams out there including the Jets, Jacksonville, Raiders, Arizona (as if they need even more Tier 3 qbs to play starter), etc.

I like Fitzpatrick.
But to me he was always more like an Orton than a highly paid starting QB.
But I think of Alex Smith in those terms too, and look what happend with him.
I'm curious if anyone will have more than moderate interest.
