I know this will seem like a really stupid question, but...

"Will the US Ryder Cup team be better without Tiger Woods?"

From a European perspective, the US never really comes across as a team, and a lot of it seems to stem from Tiger. Not that I think it's really down to him, I think that a lot of it comes from the media.

This idea of the team being introduced in World Ranking order, just so that the big names are at the front always gives the impression that the other guys on the team are there just to make the numbers.

Europe is a deeper and better team - it's that simple.

I personally think we shold name Nors and Fuzzy Zoeller captains, take the team out for a few late niters and loosen them up.

US needs to throw the top 10 money list out the window. Have Captain take best match players and hot players leading into event.

There is a BIG difference between match play and stroke play. Many may have had their way with me stroke play, but no one wanted me match play when pairings came out-

It's also a format few Americans really play in anymore. Tiger ironically honed his game matchplay winning SIX staright Jr and US Amatuers in a row.....

We are not a better team without him.

I'm looking forward to it and think the US has a good chance this year. Having one of the hottest players on the tour in Kenny Perry does not hurt one bit. As for Tiger I think that clearly it is a big loss for the US and I think Tiger is a great team member
