Our offense may have just done enough to win, just average day for everyone, however Bayless brings up a poit on how well the Giants kept Bortles in check, made bortles play terribly, and then bortles comes out and rips up the patriots.. well the giants Defense is pretty dang good and we beat them.
.there were no expectations for 300yards of passing and 150 rushing, the giants defense is way better then that...
If you look at it this way we just played against two really good Dlines and they have good safetys, Linebackers, and Apple and Jenkins arent Jags either.. this offense is struggling when playing teams like this because they can slow our run enough and pressure dak enough to create issues.. Its a lot to ask right out of the box for 2018 and I believe we will gel and get better on offense, we arent playing those types of defenses all 16..

Lets beat seatle, after the game trade for ET and let this D get us into the playoffs at say 10-6 , a lot like the Jaguars last year.. thats my positive spin on it..

Was nice to see them come out aggressive last night. You have to get chunk yards in the NFL, as it is too hard to make a living on 10 plus play drives.

I thought they did a great job in the first quarter of breaking some of their tendencies, no naked roll outs that we usually see at least once in the first 10 plays. No WR or TE bubble screens etc. and we saw a few new wrinkles that were effective.

I just want to see them stick with it. This coaching staff has a pattern of coming out creative for the first 20 plays or so then falling right back into their old patterns and never getting back to any of the things that worked early on in a game.

Trade for ET and for Josh Gordon.
After we win the SB, who cares that we don't have many picks in the draft.

Well that offense goes thru Fournette not Bortles. When he left the game the defensive strategy changed.

Nobody's taking the fact that the giants played what many would consider a top 3 NFL team (Jax) very well. People are responding this morning like the Giants weren't a desperate divisional opponent and we should have just ran through them 40-10?

We have played two good defenses no doubt. But I don't think we are beating Seattle on the road.

Yooo JJ you got the Rams back to LA now follow their model and go all in. Give the Hawks what they want for ET and bring in Flash for a couple of 4s.

Richard will help immensely. He knows how to attack the Seattle D. I’ll watch tonight but I don’t think they’ve changed that much since we held them to 130 yards last year.

I think Dak does just enough. We settle for lots of FGs and win 16-13

Skip Bayless is an insufferable Dallas Homer. I am too and I get that we played a couple of quality defenses but we left points on the board and that cant happen with this offense. Dak needs to work on accuracy he needs to throw people open and hes scared. He missed Gathers twice the one in the end zone he missed by a mile. I think if he hits Gallup in stride its a different outcome and there were a couple others.

I think even though his stats don't reflect it He played much better last night. The line must get better as well. I also don't believe the absence of Bryant and Witten is why our receivers lack big plays I don't consider them any better than the ones we had at their last years productivity. I think the cowboys started out agressive then took their foot off the pedal last night but I understand why

Dak puts himself in harms way on the RPO and unfortunately that's what he does best and his back ups suck. If Dak goes down as bad as it sounds we are in a world of hurt

and i don't think having ET is going to solve our offensive woes. I bet after last night and this week the defense will be in top 5 so defense isn't the issue

Nothing through the first 2 games says this team needs ET especially since he can be gotten in the offseason and unless it was a 5th and conditional future 3rd (ET would have to make a Pro Bowl or have 4+ INTs) I wouldn’t do it.

Good points but we gotta look at progression man.

Going to Seattle next. So, no easy defensive opponent next week either.

The NFL is about match-ups and adjustments. Its not like we looked great against NY on offense. We made one big play and had one decent drive down the field all game. They did nothing on offense for 55 minutes.

We have done it before. Their defense has lost some pep and our d has gained some pep. However, out offense has lost some pep too. LOL. I see another tight, low scoring game. First team to 20 points wins!

The cowboys have no interest in the drug addled Gordon. A 2nd round pick next year will better serve the cowboys than any short term deal for et. We need to save our money for tank.

That knowledge goes both ways. Seattle knows how Richard coaches and can scheme around his tendencies.
There's not much you can do to scheme around press man.

You can run some motion and that sort of thing, but Seattle doesn't have the horses at WR or on the OL to accomplish much by doing that. Seattle's chance to move the ball is going to be getting YAC and Wilson scrambling around to make a big play. That's it, because they aren't going to line up and throw the ball with any success.

The fact that it is in Seattle is the difference maker for me.

what we saw last night was Kris Richards effect on our D. Its a belief he has instilled. Gotta make mention of Marinelli's aggressiveness. We need to do more of that. The slot-corner blitzes I have a feeling were a joint effort by Richard and Marinelli. You can tell we been working on that all offseason. No more sitting back waiting. We are attacking. Seattle will struggle against this D next week. I see at least 2 int's coming for our db's.

sure it does , lack of offensive point we will need more shutouts to win 10-0 :))
