We gave up 2.4 sacks a game last year and this year we are only giving up 2.3! Now I know that everyone will now answer with the usual: Romo gets hit every play, he prevents many sacks with movement, our line sucks, Garret is an idiot, JJ is even more dumb, our fans are too quiet, we have no leaders, Ware gets held on every play, we need to trade Witten, what's wrong with Felix, our uniforms have too many shades of blue and gray, etc. Hopefully, the line improves, we play some teams with subpar pass rushers, we call a few more draws and screens, Romo survives, and we win a few.

So wait. You can overlook all of what you just said, because we are a tenth of a point better in the sack margine compared to this time last year. That is the ray of hope you are going to cling to? Seriously?

You're no daisy! You're no daisy at all. Poor soul, you were just too high strung.

I'm afraid the strain was more then he could bear.

your not seeing the sarcasm and utter lack of seriousness in this thread--but it does show that we are (after a mere 3 games) in the middle of the pack inm regard to sacks given up and no worse than last year--but the season is long and we've just started

So we're talking about .1 sacks here? I'd call that slight statistical anomaly a result of Romo's elusiveness in the pocket. Thing is as good as Romo is at buying time and avoiding pressure he's put under it far too frequently so even if he can get out of 3 out of 5 pressures and get a pass off those 5 pressures are being seen way to often and as a result he keeps getting wasted....

How the HECK did you miss the sarcasm lol??

I thought the OP was funny, but your serious followup made it better

After responding, it did occur to me that you had to be sarcastic. But you never can tell on this site with some posters.

How can it be an anomaly when the same elusive Romo played last year too?

So you are saying they went from god awful to plain awful?

it's a move in the right direction

Your sarcastic remarks aren't lost on me, and if I can have the same results with sacks allowed but go from having the 14th ranked D to the 1st ranked D in yards allowed (they won't maintain that high ranking though), then in fact I have improved something.

and let's not forget this time last year Romo already had broken ribs,,, this year he just has a sore jaw and a concussion,,, things are looking up!

Well all the moving parts that go into Romo getting sacked and not getting sacked, the plays that are called the defenders rushing the passer the difference is in one of those variable.
