One relies on speed, the other know-how.

The line that separates Dallas Cowboys linebackers Jason Williams and Sean Lee is quite stark — and it goes back to their earliest days in football.

“Ever since I was a kid,” Williams said, “I always was taught that speed kills.”

Said Lee: “I learned at an early age how to watch practice and take mental reps.”

Jason is on same path as Brady James, since Brady truly didn't get it till his third year. Considering, Brady always played True LB, Jason actually has bigger learning curve.

I understand what your saying, I think we are gong to see the biggest growth in Williams next year. If he can stay on the field this year you will start to see a difference later in the year. This is the only reason I refuse to jump off his bandwagon. I really think it all comes together for him in year 3.

Jason Williams is a Jimmy Johnson type player_not only is he fast with a capital F, he plays with hostile intentions.

Unfortunately for JWill, Jimmy Johnson does not coach this team. JWill is going to have to play smarter to get on the field.

If we can hit on these two guys with Ware and Spencer on the outside, the lbs will be dominant for years!!!!!!!! Its early in camp and I expect significant improvement from Williams over the next several weeks. You really hope he puts it all together when you see how athletic he is. I really look forward to seeing both of these guys in preseason (Brandon Williams too).

It is looking like another Red Shirt year for Williams....just way too inconsistant for coaches to trust him yet. Let Lee play nickle this year.....he is more NFL ready. I do believe Williams can become a player...but we wont really know that until next year.

Both of these guys have a really amazing aspect, but big question marks. Assuming they both work out though we're set at that position for the next half decade at least.

Check, but in the process both will grow together and learn a great deal about each other. They will forge a tightness and ability to react to and respond in conjunction with the other. Similarly to how both Brady James and Keith Brooking are doing right now. They will learn a good deal from this pair and will reflect similarly.

What I see is both Sean Lee and Jason Williams will back each other up and advance as a pair. It appears that Jason will backup Sean and will thus get a lot of reps also in package situations. That is high intensity and a lot of one on one in the open field and opportunities to work on blitzing skills from the interior. Sounds like a pretty good job description for a pair of 'rooks/young players.'
