Win or lose on Sunday, the Cowboys half exceeded my expectorations.
The defense, entering the season without the hallacious spate of injuries, was a question mark to me. When the injuries starting hitting, I downgraded my expectorations. toward the middle of the season, I saw a team that was offensively gifted but sputtered and a defense that was playing over its head. So, even 8-8 started looking acceptable.
But here is the thing. at 8-8 or 9-7 we are guaranteed another year in draft-day mediocrity. And for the long run, more mediocrity.
I wish I were a bear instead of a bore. At least I could hibernate through the spring and wake up in time for voluntarry camps and then training camp. Mens, unless there is a coaching and player shakeup, It's gonna be a long winter and early spring.
