Sad, pathetic little Commanders' Cowboys obsession

The Commanders nation continues to show their obsession with, envy of, and inferiority to the Dallas Cowboys.

Watching the Comcast Network local broadcast of the Skins game tonight here in VA, they aired a commercial for the Commanders Post Game Show. The commercial showed T.O. with the popcorn and said "no popcorn", then a picture of Jessica Simpson with audio of he infamous 'Chicken of the Sea' comment and said "no blondes". It finished with a clip of the video game Pac-Man and said, "no pacman"... "Just Commanders". I didn't catch the whole thing but I'm sure it started with a Romo knock as well.

It's funny how their obsession with Dallas runs so deep that they use it to advertise their own team's programming. It's funnier that when you watch a local Dallas game there's never any need to air anti-Skins material. It's funniest that their commercial implying that the Cowboys receive too much media attention, in fact, is an example of and adds to the very fever for which they are attempting to mock.

Truly pathetic.

In a few minutes 3 or 4 Commander fans (who are longtime members of a Cowboys forum) will post saying they are not obsessed with the Cowboys.

And they will have the most posts in this thread.

;)

Only the most pathetic little boy tries to pump himself up by believing that others are obsessed with him. This must be the 10th thread like this in the last month.

wow at least their original.

They dont have hangups. I mean its not like their owner said they were going to beat Dallas in the next round even though they couldnt get out of the wild card round. I mean that is something an obsessed person would do at a retirment press conference for a hall of fame coach.

or you know, one of their team leaders sitting inside a losing locker room telling the media what they WERE going to do to Dallas, had they been good enough to beat seattle.

Nothing as predictable as a Commander fan.

I saw that to and wondered if there were commercials like that depicting the Commanders in a laughable manner down there in Dallas.

The fact that the fanbase/support/local sponsors (or whatever) would single out the Cowboys speaks volumes. Commander fans are truly feeling neglected.

The Skins commercial was a very weak attempt BTW. Lame.

no there is nothing like that here. Someone needs to record that commercial so we can see it.

I'd do it if I had the software/hardware to transfer it from my DVR to my computer....but I don't. :(

What would I need to make that happen? I need to go buy an external hard drive tomorrow, I might be able to spend a little extra if it doesn't require to much loot.

Whats more obsessive, doing the "obsession" or talking about the obsession?

Kinda like the chicken or egg huh? :)

I'll just say this; I think there is a difference in making the commercial and talking about the commercial. It is real amusing

Yeah, because this twelve post thread is as indicative of 'obsession' as spending thousands of dollars and wasting time to create a crap commercial that pokes fun of a superior team...only to amuse your pathetic fanbase. Gotcha.

...and why are you on this forum again? What is that, like five times today?

I think there's a difference between making the commercial and accidentally finding out about it. He just happens to live there and post here. It wasn't made with him in mind. If he hadn't seen it, which way would the scales of obsession tip then? You can be honest this time.

Please note, I am not judging you or Skins fans negatively for the obsession. I think it's great. So please, do be honest.

Its sad actually, they are completly obsessed with the cowboys. Everything revolves around Dallas. Most of their fans feel that if they beat dallas twice, then they have had a good season. They have Dallas Week, a thread on their boards called **** Dallas, numerous posters have sigs with dallas in them, even if the picture had nothing to do with the skins. Their world revolves aroudn their hate of us.

Every once and a while a friend of mine links ExtremeForeskins material to me.

That TR1 fella sure has a hard-on for the Cowboys.

He posts anything and everything he can on Dallas.

Poor guy. I guess that's what happens when you're old and lonely.

I've never seen the guy post one thing about the Foreskins - or anything actually about football for that matter.

The point is he DID see it he did find it and did comment about it.

So honestly if he wasn't "obsessed" he'd let it just roll off, say the mantra "embrace the hatred" and move on with his day

No, his seeing it was accidental. He was not the target audience. Do you honestly not grasp that?
