Sad to say...but our season is up to the defense!

If Wade Phillips has any chance of making it through this year, and putting a notch on his legacy, his defense is going to have to win these games for us.

Sure it's going to take an all out team effort, but to win the defense is going to have to play lights out. If Brad can get us to score more than 24 I will be really surprised.

The defense should also be taking this personally. Right now they are a Joke! I know we've locked up most of that side of the ball to long term contracts, but a lot of them should be trying to prove to Jerry they deserve to be on this team....now and in the future. These guys are trying to get paid..... Tank, Carpenter, Canty, Spears, Burnett, Watkins, Ellis, Bowman...etc. That's half the defense!

If Wade somehow can get these guys lined up correctly, and they can quit making excuses, it will all be on them. I'm tired of hearing we have a lot of guys injured....we don't! We only have Newman, and Roy out of the starting 11.

We'll see first thing Sunday....what this defense is made of....and what Wade is made of. It should be interesting to say the least.

I just said kind of the same thing in another post.

They have been relying on Romo and rallying around him for 2 years now.

It's time for them to make the impact.

PLay like they did against GB and the second half of the Eagles game.

I saw Ware moving around on Sunday more than I think I ever had. The result was a 3 sack performance and one of the worst performances by our defense in 1 1/2 years. It just goes to show you that sacks are not all they are cracked up to be.

When Ware plays at the DE spot in essence we play really good run defense. When he is not there moving around I think everybody gets a bit confused as to their roles.

When Wade talks about simplifying, I think that is the main thing. You are going to see Ware lined up as DE and not coming from all angles. Not as many sacks, or pressures but better run D.

I am really sick of all this negativity -I know it is justified but I need a bit of hope for the next 3 days. I got to stop reading this board - its bringing me down!

I think it is up to the entire team. Both units are dealing with injuries and the only way they start winning is with an entire team effort.

It needs to happen. If we are going to do ANYTHING... we need to know that the Defense can do it.
