OXNARD, Calif. – Seeking to bolster their injury-depleted defensive line, the Cowboys added journeyman end George Selvie on Wednesday, the team’s website reported.
A South Florida alum, Selvie has had stops in the NFL at St. Louis, Carolina, Jacksonville and Tampa Bay since the Rams drafted in the seventh round in 2010.
The Cowboys are without several defensive linemen, including end Anthony Spencer, who will have knee surgery Thursday in Dallas that could sideline him for a month; tackle Jay
Ratliff, who has yet to practice because of a hamstring injury suffered last Saturday in the conditioning test; and end Tyrone Crawford, who is out for the season after tearing an Achilles tendon Sunday.
