With DeMarco Murray (knee) and DeMarcus Ware (quadriceps) expected to miss Sunday’s game at Philadelphia, the Cowboys took steps to shore up depth by signing defensive end Jarius Wynn to the 53-man roster and running back Davin Meggett to the practice squad.
The club released defensive tackle David Carter and cornerback Chris Greenwood, leaving them with 52 players on the active roster. The open spot could be filled by Meggett.
Wynn has played for three teams since Green Bay drafted him in the sixth round in 2009. He has 7.5 career sacks.
