IRVING – Defensive lineman Jason Hatcher, guard Mackenzy Bernadeau and safety/special teams ace Danny McCray weren’t practicing Monday morning because of injuries left over from Saturday’s game with Cincinnati

Three players are back on the field after recovering from injuries: cornerback Mo Claiborne, linebacker Ernie Sims and wide receiver Cole Beasley. Claiborne, the only starter among the three, missed the last three preseason games with knee tendinitis.

Guards Ronald Leary and Nate Livings are still out recovering from knee surgery. Owner Jerry Jones revealed recently that Livings has a degenerative issue with his right knee.

Jones also said that Ratliff (hamstring) likely won’t be available for the Sept. 8 opener. Other players in the trainers’ room include linebacker Brandon McGee, safeties Eric Frampton and Matt Johnson, defensive end Anthony Spencer, running back Lance Dunbar and center Ryan Cook.

In advance of Tuesday’s cut down to 75 players, the Cowboys released defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton.
