IRVING – Demarcus Lawrence said it was hard to put into words how happy he was to be selected by the Cowboys.
“It’s just a real blessing,” he said. “You wanted to be a Cowboy all your life and now you get to put on that blue and that silver, so it’s just amazing.”
The Cowboys selected the Boise State defensive end in the second round Friday night much to the delight of his family.
“My whole family is Cowboys fans, so just imagine them in the room just screaming,” he said.
So how did his “whole family” end up rooting for Dallas.
“My dad,” Lawrence said. “He’s the head of the household and somebody can’t stay in this house unless they are a Cowboys fan.”
