IRVING – Much was made of Dez Bryant’s drop of a deep ball on a go route in the fourth quarter down the sideline in front of the Chiefs’ bench Sunday.

But Bryant wasn’t alone in lamenting a missed opportunity. Linebacker Bruce Carter was kicking himself Monday for dropping a pick six in the second quarter of the 17-16 loss.

“That was a play I have to make,” Carter said. “We’ve got to capitalize on those opportunities.”

Carter did everything right to position himself for his first career interception and touchdown except hang on to the ball.

“I think I was thinking of the end zone before I even caught it,” he said. “I have to keep my eyes on the ball. I need to work on that in practice. Whenever it comes again, I will be ready…It was tough. We watched it as a team and we watched it as a defense. That was a game-winning play. I hold myself accountable.”

Carter notched his second sack in as many games. But in addition to the drop, he also was responsible for Dwayne Bowe’s touchdown catch, according to ProFootballFocus.com.
