DALLAS – Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee is expected to miss three to four weeks after pulling his left hamstring in Sunday’s 49-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints, according to reports.
That means the Cowboys (5-5) likely will be without their leader in tackles and interceptions for at least two games.
Dallas has a bye this week before returning to play two games in the span of five days. The Cowboys travel to New Jersey to take on the New York Giants on Nov. 24. On Nov. 28, they host the Oakland Raiders in the annual Thanksgiving Day game at AT&T Stadium.
In an interview Monday afternoon with Dallas’ KRLD-FM, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Lee likely will be sidelined for a week or two.
Of course, the Cowboys’ track record on projecting timetables for injured players to return is sketchy (think Anthony Spencer and Jay Ratliff).
