IRVING – Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Orlando Scandrick’s performance in the 27-23 win over Minnesota was “probably his best game.”
The veteran cornerback collected the defensive game ball after notching five tackles, four passes defensed and an interception.
“He showed up in a lot of different ways,” Garrett said. “There were 10 chances that went his way and he won nine of them.”
Perhaps Scandrick’s biggest play came when Christian Ponder scrambled out of the pocket around left end on third-and-9 from the Dallas 40-yard line with the Vikings leading, 23-20. Coming up strong from the secondary, Scandrick held the quarterback to a 4-yard gain.
“It was a critical tackle,” Garrett said.
