OXNARD, Calif. – More bad injury news for the Dallas Cowboys.
Citing an anonymous source, ESPNDallas.com is reporting that defensive end Anthony Spencer will have surgery on his left knee this week.
(UPDATE: DallasCowboys.com is also reporting the surgery.)
Spencer aggravated a bone bruise in his left knee during the conditioning test Saturday. He was unable to complete Sunday’s practice and an MRI afterward confirmed the injury.
Spencer could miss two to four weeks, but the Cowboys reportedly believe he will be ready for the season opener against the New York Giants on Sept. 8 at Cowboys Stadium.
