SAN ANTONIO – Generating takeaways was once a calling card for the Cowboys defense this season, but not any longer. Over the first nine games, Dallas registered 22 takeaways. But in the last four, they have forced just four.

The good news for the Cowboys: The Commanders had seven turnovers in last week’s one-point loss at Atlanta, with backup Kirk Cousins throwing two interceptions and losing a fumble in his first start of the season.

“They come in bunches,” defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin said of turnovers, according to ESPNDallas.com. “Hopefully, they’ll work the other way (Sunday).”

The Cowboys, by the way, are 4-1 this season when they score either a defensive or special-teams touchdown.
