Offseason surgery will prevent defensive end DeMarcus Ware from participating in the Dallas Cowboys’ three-day mandatory minicamp next week.
“I still got a couple of months to recover and get ready for training camp, and I’ll be ready by then,” Ware told reporters per ESPNDallas.com on Thursday after a youth football camp hosted by the club.
Ware, who notched a team-high 11.5 sacks last season, underwent surgery after last season to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder.
Minicamp is set for June 11-13 in Irving.
