We have been missing a dominant SS in run support for years as evidenced by the crap we have had in Roy, hamlin, or Davis. Any free agents or late round gems in next years draft since we have no 1st rd draft pick?

Also, can we draft a LG hat can stay healthy?

I still don't understand why Jerry Jones paid Hamlin all that money... OMG, what a joke! Dallas needs a real GM, drafting players is always the better route to take.

Probably because last year he had the one of the best seasons that we have ever had out of a safety since woody left. (If not the best)

We needed a "Qb" back there in the secondary, and last year he showed that he could do that.

The guy had a HORRIBLE GAME last night, but it doesnt happen often. Funny how we never see praise for guys like hamlin on this forum, but the minute he screws up.......everyone wants him sent back to seattle.

Like i said, he played like dog crap last night, but that doesnt mean that Jerry was wrong in signing the guy to a long term deal. And it definately doesnt mean that we "need a real GM"

Guess you dont give credit to Jerry for drafting a "potentially" GREAT draft class this past year:rolleyes:

I agree with Wesley, Hamlin is getting way too much of the blame, Keith Davis took bad angles and ran himself out of the play both times on those long runs and there were 8 other guys in the box who should of been in position to make a play so that Hamlin didnt have to come over from the other half of the field to try and make a play.

Some 1st Rd talent

William Moore - Missouri

---Moore didn't have a great year in 2008, but he is still an elite prospect with nice size at 6' 1" 215 lbs. In 2008 he recorded 83 tackles, 5.5 TFLs, 1 INT and 5 pass break ups.

Taylor Mays - USC

---Mays is a massive safety (6' 3" 227 lbs). A tweener, but in 2008 he recorded 48 tackles and 7 pass breakups for USC's No. 1 ranked defense

I personally prefer any USC player over anyone else if they are closely regarded together.

I thought I read somewhere that Hamlin was going to work on his tackling form by practicing on his pile of money. It's going to take some time to adjust that pile of money to where it don't stomp on Hamlin's chest though. Winning takes time...

If he wants to tackle his pile of money, all he'll need to d is put a helmet on it since that's where he aims when tackling anyway.

This is real good question because it's terribly obvious this is one of the biggest weakness of the team.

i understand he had a bad night...but he decided to get bad in crucial moments!.....when you are in position to come back and it may be your last you dont dive at legs...throw your body out there..like you know it may be the last game of season, and if we lose we wont make the playoffs....sadly he didnt......so now we may not make the playoffs....

Rashad Johnson should be there in the second or third round. He would be an excellent selection for Dallas.

Thing about Hamlin, he has shown that he can ball at a high level. Now he killed us last night but whatever it is that is wrong I think it can be corrected.
There's just too many other glaring needs than FS when anyone you take in the draft is no guarantee.
Yeah I'm ticked off about the game and his poor tackling this season but I still believe he is capable.

I only want to draft 2 Safeties....however, I would not be upset if we drafted all 3 of those guys.

I also want CBs Joe Burnett and Mark Parsons.

CB - Newman, Jones, Jenkins, Scandrick, Burnett, Parsons
S - Hamlin, Davis, Johnson, Smith, McBath

I know 11 DBs is a lot, so if I had to sacrifice anyone on the list, it would be McBath.......

I like him too. Hamlin's been bailing Henry out all season long. He's top 5 in the league.
