eh, I guess.

Swap Elam for Poole. It's an upgrade........of sorts.

I liked him a lot coming out of college, but he's had some concussion issues in past years. Still, if there's someone who knows the Ryan system, it's this guy, as he's played in it for Rob in Cleveland and Rex in NY. Also speaks well that his DB coach, Henderson, is now here. If they'll vouch for him as a "safe" pick-up, I'm all for it.

I prefer Landry.

As would I, not much coming in on that front today.

I like Landry, but he strikes me more as a run-supporting thumper as opposed to a guy who can help the defensive secondary in what is becoming more and more a passing league. Add in that he's had his own injuries issues, and I think it's a toss-up.

Laundry will probably be in the second wave of FAs. Him being the best available says a lot though.

Eh...i guess a bit better than Pool....

Again if this was madden it's just like an upgrade from 72 overall to 74 or 75

I rather go with a young hungry guy

My initial thought is no based on the fact he has been a backup the past two years. I would really like to see us upgrade there this year with a dependable FS or a top 5 talent in the draft.

BEREA, Ohio -- Browns safety Brodney Pool could miss the rest of the season with at least his fourth concussion, suffered during Sunday's 16-7 loss to the Bengals.

"It's not looking positive,'' said Browns coach Eric Mangini. "He won't play this week (against San Diego) and there's a chance he won't be playing again this year.''

Mangini said "we haven't talked about the long-term'' decision of whether or not Pool will decide to retire from football.

The latest concussion was Pool's fourth in the past five seasons. He also had a neurological exam on the sidelines in preseason and missed a few days of practice, but Mangini said that was not diagnosed as a concussion.

If we get the Pool that played for Cleveland under RR, I'd be extremely happy. He was my second choice after Huff last year.

I would feel much better about that position.

The concussions worry me but he's definitely an upgrade in coverage, knows the system well. If get him and a top DB talent in the draft I wouldn't mind how we are set there. We still have a lot of room to upgrade at all the DB spots really.

Yeah but he has a history of concussions

Yeah, I hear you. But really, they all do, whether they've been reported/treated or not.
