Safety Ed Reed to announce retirement as a Baltimore Raven

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Nine-time Pro Bowl safety Ed Reed will formally retire from the NFL as a member of the Baltimore Ravens.

Reed will make the announcement Thursday at the Ravens training complex. He will be joined by coach John Harbaugh, general manager Ozzie Newsome and team president Dick Cass.
