I’m told Evans, who had two solid practices at the Senior Bowl before sitting out Thursday with injury, is expected to blow up the combine and put up Byron Jones type numbers.

The belief is Evans could land in the late part of round one and I've heard his name linked with the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys presently have four defensive backs up for free agency including two safety’s, starter Barry Church and JJ Wilcox.

I could see it. If I had to put money down, I would lean towards the Boy's going secondary with the 1st pick than DL.

Once again these reports are coming out before the board has even begun to be put together. None of these guys even have a complete grade on them right now before the combine so this comes off at best as an inaccurate representation imo.

This explosive playmaking S has 5 interceptions, no forced fumbles, none recovered and 8 TFL in his career.

I'd be extremely disappointed if we took him even at 60.

I don't mean to laugh, because my head would explode if we could get him. However, the best FS to come down the pike since Ed Reed would take pretty much our entire draft, or at least our 28th this year, next year's 1st, plus maybe a 3rd or 4th next year. He'll go in the top 5-8 picks, he's that good. After watching Ohio State's Spring Practice game, the "Scarlet & Gray" game, I called my brother to rant about this incredible FS who was going to be an All-American in 2016. When Hooker told everyone he was coming back next year, I held out at least a little hope. Once he declared after the Clemson debacle, I knew we would never get him. I live in NE Ohio & am hoping the Browns trade down a few picks & take him. He's pound for pound the best player in this draft, IMHO.

You know, man, the joke's on me. I just learned myself about Hooker's Labrum & Hernia surgery, so he may fall enough for us to trade up! To think that he played part of the season with those injuries & STILL was the best FS in the land is incredible to think about. Just think how good he can be when he's totally healthy. You might think I'm crazy, but I would give up our 1st & 2nd round picks for him. We then move Jones back to CB, & kill two birds with one stone. What do you think?

Everything I've read says he will still go top 10. It's been pretty unanimous that he isn't going to slide any due to the surgeries. He is going to have to have bad medicals at the combine or something off the field pop up to drop enough.
